Same-page eStudio Security Features

What does a web server SSL certificate do?
When you connect to Same-Page's secure web servers you ask that server to authenticate itself. This authentication is quite a complex process involving public keys, private keys and a digital certificate. The Digicert Certificate icon tells you that an independent third party has agreed that the server belongs to the company it claims to belong to. A valid certificate means that you can have confidence that you are sending information to the right place and you'll know you are doing business at a secure site when you see either an unbroken or a closed lock icon in your status bar. Users data is automatically encrypt during the sign-in process or by checking the box "secure the entire session" when logging into eStudio the process is extended to cover the total duration you are logged into an eStudio.

What about security at your Network Operation Center?
For protection against natural disasters our servers are co-located in Dallas, Texas. In case of a power outage, our circuits are moved seamlessly to our power generator. In case of fire, the data center is protected by Halon 1301 extinguishers. To prevent overheating of equipment the room is kept at a constant 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Our servers are backed up regularly. The backups are performed onto a fileserver at the NOC which is, in turned, backed up to a failover location off site. NOC technicians subscribe to security-focused mailing lists. They peruse the CERT advisories and Technet sites daily in an effort to discover security holes before they are officially released to the public. Once a threat is discovered and evaluated by the NOC staff, the servers are immediately patched. The NOC employs 24-hour security guards and is protected both by keycard and a combination door lock. The combination to the inner door is known only by two persons at any given time and it is changed on a biweekly basis. The security guards themselves do not know the combination to our server cages. The NOC is audited to insure SSAE 16 compliance.
