SECURITY AND TRUST

Same-Page.com understands that taking your business online is a big decision. You need to be able to trust your online service provider will be up and running 24/7/365. You need to trust that your files are safe, that is why eStudio provides incremental data backups every 15 minutes.

How can I make sure that my login is secure? When you connect to Same-Page's secure web servers you ask that server to authenticate itself. This authentication is quite a complex process involving public keys, private keys and a digital certificate. The closed lock icon in lower part of your browser window tells you that an independent third party has agreed that the server belongs to the company it claims to belong to. A valid certificate means that you can have confidence that you are sending information to the right place and you'll know you are doing business at a secure site when you see either an unbroken or a closed lock icon in your status bar. A User's login data is automatically encrypt during the sign-in process. By checking the box "secure the entire session" when logging into eStudio the process is extended to cover the total duration you are logged into an eStudio.

What about security at your Network Operation Center? The NOC employs 24-hour security guards and is protected both by keycard and a combination door lock. The combination to the inner door is known only by two persons at any given time and it is changed on a biweekly basis. The security guards themselves do not know the combination to the server room. The NOC is also protected by closed-circuit camera.

For protection against natural disasters our servers are located in Houston, Texas. In case of a power outage, our circuits are moved seamlessly to our backup power generator. In case of fire, the data center is protected by Halon 1301 extinguishers. To prevent overheating of equipment the room is kept at a constant 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

What about backups? Our servers are backed up regularly to a fileserver at the NOC which is, in turned, backed up onto DVD. The DVDs are stored in a fire-proof safe.

What about viruses? NOC technicians subscribe to security-focused mailing lists. They peruse the CERT advisories and Technet sites daily in an effort to discover security holes before they are officially released to the public. Once a threat is discovered and evaluated by the NOC staff, the servers are immediately patched.

What about hackers? Perhaps the greatest single threat to network security is social engineering. That means YOU being careless with your user name and password. Do not give out your personal information and when you leave your computer LOGOUT of your eStudio.
